NASCAR Xfinity: Andy Lally returns for Mid-Ohio

Andy Lally, the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year, announced across his social media accounts on Wednesday that he would be behind the wheel of the No. 90 Chevrolet for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington.
“Was just told I’m racing the #90 in the @NASCAR_Xfinity race at Mid-Ohio! Lots of room for ANY size sponsor! DM me!!” Lally tweeted (@AndyLally).
The Mid-Ohio race will be the first NASCAR national-level race for Lally in 2016. He competed in two of the three Xfinity Series road-course races last year, racing the No. 90. He finished 21st at Mid-Ohio in 2015 and 15th at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
Laaly’s rookie season at the Sprint Cup level was his only year of near-full-time NASCAR competition. He ran 30 of 36 points-paying races that season.
In recent years, Lally has been a regular in the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship. In 2016, so far, he has competed in eight of 10 races, posting three wins and 11 podium finishes.
