Austin Dillon gets Xfinity Series win at Charlotte

Austin Dillon was up front at the start at the beginning and at the end of the Hisense 4K TV 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, starting from the pole, dominating the race and then posting his fourth-career Xfinity Series win. He led a total of 163 laps of the 200 that made up the race.

“I didn’t want to get out of the car,” Dillon said. “It ran so good all day.”

Dillon led 10 Sprint Cup Series driver that got in extra laps at CMS by running Saturday’s Xfinity race. Cup drivers claimed the top-three finishing positions, with Denny Hamlin finishing second and Kasey Kahne third. Hamlin overcame an unscheduled green-flag pit stop for a loose wheel in the first half of the race for his runner-up finish.
