NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular Austin Dillon climbed into the No. 33 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Saturday night for the Subway Firecracker 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Saturday night, and after a one hour rain delay before the race took the green flag, Dillon went on to claim his fifth-career win in the series. It was his first win at Daytona.
“It’s the best feeling in the world,” Dillon said. “Everybody wants to win here. I don’t care what series it is.”
Elliott Sadler finished second, Chase Elliott third, Kasey Kahne fourth, and Benny Gordon was fifth.
