B.J. McLeod takes team to Xfinity Series

Super Late Model racer B.J. McLeod plans to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series full-time in 2016. He’ll field his own two-car team in the series, driving a No. 78 Ford himself and also fielding a No. 99 Ford that will be driven by multiple drivers. He has yet to name any of the drivers of his No. 99 entry. George Ingram will be McLeod’s crew chief on the No. 78 team, while Jason Houghtaling will lead the No. 99 team as crew chief.

“We are very excited with the expansion of our team into the NASCAR Xfinity Series, especially on a full-time basis,” McLeod said. “We are forever grateful for the door that was opened with Roush Fenway Racing to gain some of the equipment for our use this season. It’s our hope that, while our expectations are modest, we can surprise a few people on the track this season.”
