Ben Rhodes gets full-time Truck Series ride

Ben Rhodes will join NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team ThorSport Racing for the 2016 race season, his first season of full-time competition in a NASCAR national series. He’ll drive the No. 41 Toyota for the team, according to a release Tuesday from ThorSport. As driver of the newly-numbered entry for the team, Rhodes will be a teammate to two-time Camping World Truck Series champion, Matt Crafton.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to race full-time with ThorSport Racing next season,” Rhodes said. “I was excited when I received the phone call. The team, as a whole, has won two out of the last three Truck Series championship titles, and all three trucks were within the top-six in points. I feel confident I am joining a team that will be able to produce top-notch Toyota Tundras for me to contend for poles, race wins, Rookie-of-the-Year honors and the championship.”
