Chase Elliott claimed his fourth-career NASCAR Xfinity Series win, but his first of the 2015 season, Friday night in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. He became the first Xfinity Series regular to win at Richmond in 23 races.
“I felt really good about having Kyle (Busch) behind me. He’s a really good restarter. He gave me a push there,” Elliott said. “It was just a great effort tonight.”
Although Sprint Cup Series regulars have dominated Xfinity Series racing at RIR the last several years, only three entered Friday night’s race.
