Christopher Bell doesn’t have a lot of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series experience, but he banked on his extensive dirt racing experience Wednesday night to claim the win in the 1-800-CAR-CASH Mud Summer Classic at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The victory came in only his third-career Truck Series start.
“This is just unbelievable,” Bell said. “I’ve been coming here quite a few times, and if you would have told me two years ago that my first win at Eldora was going to be in a truck, I would have told you that you’re crazy.”
While the win was the first in the series for Bell, it was the second-straight Eldora victory for Kyle Busch Motorsports, adding to Darrell Wallace Jr.’s win from a year ago.
Another dirt track ace, Bobby Pierce finished second in his Camping World Truck Series debut.
