Cole Custer goes Xfinity racing with JR Motorsports

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Cole Custer, is slated to make his Xfinity Series debut on April 23 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway from behind the wheel of the No. 5 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. He’ll then transition to JRM’s No. 88 car for races at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 28 and at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta on July 8. He’ll then return to the No. 5 for a return to Charlotte on Oct. 7 and for the season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 19 for a total of five Xfinity Series starts by season’s end.

“Seat time is critical to development as a driver, and the more I can get, especially with a team like JRM, the faster that development will go,” Custer said. “This is a great opportunity for me to get more laps, get used to the equipment, and compete at another level.”
