Dakoda Armstrong out at RPM

The No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford in the NASCAR Xfinity Series won’t have Dakoda Armstrong behind the wheel in 2016, as driver and team have parted ways after two full seasons of Xfinity Series competition together. Richard Petty Motorsports announced that Armstong no longer was affiliated with the team in late November.

RPM does plan to continue fielding the No. 43, though, but no announcement has been made revealing a driver for the car next season. The organizaiton does have a developmental driver in its stable — Ryan Truex, the brother of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr. Other drivers who still look to be available include Regan Smith, 2015 Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Brett Moffitt and David Ragan.
