Denny Hamlin dominates Xfinity Series race at Darlington

Denny Hamlin dominated the VFW Sports Clips Help a Hero 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway on Saturday, starting from the pole and leading 117 of the 147 laps that made up the race on his way to the win. It was Hamlin’s fourth-career Xfinity Series win at Darlington and the eighth in the last 10 Darlington races for Joe Gibbs Racing.

“Great car,” Hamlin said. “We had a great run, a great run at it.”

JGR swept the top-three of the finishing order, with Kyle Busch finishing second, and Daniel Suarez finishing third. Suarez was the highest-finishing Xfinity Series regular and claimed the final Dash 4 Cash $100,000 bonus awarded in 2015 by finishing better than the other three drivers eligible for the award at Darlington — Brian Scott, Ty Dillon and Chase Elliott.
