Erik Jones gets truck win at Iowa

After three-consecutive poles and multiple races of most laps led, Erik Jones finally was able to claim his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win of 2015 Friday night with his victory in the American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway in Newton. It also was the first win of the season for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

“Definitely a fun night,” Jones said. We sat on the pole and won the race. Can’t ask for any more than that.”

Jones also led a race-high 112 laps of the 200-lap race.

The final run of the race, in at least one way, mirrored the opening stages of the event, with a “keeping up with the Joneses” feel, as Brandon Jones ran second to Erik Jones. In the end, Brandon Jones took runner-up honors.
