Four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams received written warnings for inspection issues during the April 15-17 race weekend at Bristol (Ten.) Motor Speedway that culminated in Sunday’s running of the Food City 500.
The No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet team of Kevin Harvick, the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team of Carl Edwards and the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet team of Dale Earnhardt Jr. each failed twice in the template inspection station during pre-qualifying inspection on April 15.
The No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford team of Trevor Bayne also had a problem getting through pre-qualifying inspection. The team failed twice in the laser inspection station.
