Harrison Burton, son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jeff Burton, does not yet meet NASCAR’s minimum age requirement to compete anywhere in any of the three national series, but he already has concrete plans for his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race once he meets the minimum age requirement of 16 to compete in the series’ short-track events. Burton will turn 16 on Oct. 9. On Oct. 29, he plans to make his Camping World Truck Series debut at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. He’ll be behind the wheel of a Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota entry, according to an announcement Thursday from KBM.
“It’s a big step, but we have been working really hard to prepare ourselves for everything that’s to come this year, and we’re ready,” Burton said.
