Ronnie Mund, also known as “Ronnie the Limo Driver” from “The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM satellite radio will take on different driving duties Wednesday night when he serves as the ceremonial pace truck driver for the 1-800-CAR-CASH Mud Summer Classic NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway, the track owned by three-time NASCAR Cup champion Tony Stewart in Rossburg, Ohio.
“I was blown away when I got the invite,” Mund said. “I’m so excited and specially honored that it is at Tony’s track. I can’t wait to experience the legendary Eldora and an event that is becoming a must-see event for NASCAR fans.”
The 2015 installment of the Mud Summer Classic is a third-annual event. It has become a must-see for fans of NASCAR’s Truck Series. It’s the only dirt race, not only on the yearly Truck Series schedule, but the only dirt race ran each year by any NASCAR national series. Prior to the first Mud Summer Classic in 2013, the last NASCAR national level race on dirt was a premier level event at North Carolina State Fairegrounds in Rally, N.C. on Sept. 30, 1970.
