On Wednesday, NASCAR released its list of teams receiving written warnings coming out of the Nov. 6-8 race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth. Teams receiving written warnings after Texas included two Joe Gibbs Racing teams in the Xfinity Series, the No. 18 Toyota team of driver Daniel Suarez and the No. 20 Toyota team that had Erik Jones as its driver for Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge.
Suarez’s team received a warning because it failed the LASER Inspection Platform twice during the pre-race inspection process on Saturday. Meanwhile, Jones’ teams were found to be in violation of sections 20.20.a and 184.108.40.206.1.c of the 2015 NASCAR rule book. Both sections relate to the addition or modification of components for aerodynamic advantage.
