Josh Wise will climb into the No. 32 Ford for Go Green Racing for Sunday’s Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, according to an announcement from Go Green Racing earlier this week.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be back driving for Go Green this weekend and in the future,” Wise said. “I’m obviously very excited to be racing at Indy next weekend in the No. 32 Brandeiss Machinery Ford. Indianapolis is a track that holds a really special place in my heart after living there for four years driving USAC. I would drive by the speedway all the time wishing someday I could race there. Indy is such a fun track for me, and I”m looking forward to this weekend.”
Wise told Dave Moody on “SiriusXM Speedway” on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Wednesday that, for now, the deal with Go Green is just for Indianapolis, but he’s hoping that more races will be added.
Wise drove for Go Green in the Xfinity Series for eight races in 2011.
Wise previously drove for Premium Motorsports but left the team after the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta earlier this month. He didn’t compete last weekend in the 5-Hour Energy 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.
Wise returns to Sprint Cup competition 37th in the points standings. He has one top-10 finish in 2015, coming at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
