Kyle Busch, JGR continue Xfinity Series dominance

Another NASCAR Xfinity Series race results in another dominating performance by Joe Gibbs Racing, specifically Kyle Busch. Busch led 175 laps of the 200-lap Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 Xfinity Series race at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday on his way to his third-straight win in the series after only entering three races. It also was his ninth-career Xfinity win at PIR.

“It’s just a knack for this place, I guess,” Busch said. “You know, we’ve been off a little bit on the Cup side for years, but here, we seem to be a lot better. Last year, we improved a lot. But, the Xfinity program, it’s always been. I’m not sure why.”

Erik Jones and Daniel Suarez finished second and third to give JGR a one-two-three finish for the second-straight week. They also started in the race in the top-three positions for the second-consecutive week. At Phoenix, Jones started on the pole, with Suarez next to him on the front row and Busch in third.
