After any given race in its top-three series (Sprint Cup, Xfinity and Camping World Truck), NASCAR expects the top-three race finishers and highest-finishing rookie to participate in post-race press conferences. But a frustrated Kyle Busch failed to do so after finishing second in the TreatMyClot.com 300 Xfinity Series race at Auto Club Speedway, and that’s one of the reasons he may be in hot water with NASCAR in the coming week. Busch also caught NASCAR’s ire late in the race when he implied NASCAR “fixed” the race finish by not throwing a caution when he blew a tire on the final lap.
“Debris all over the race track and they don’t throw a yellow. I’m just so pleased with you NASCAR. Thanks. Y’all are awesome. Fixing races,” Busch was heard saying to his team over his radio.
