NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team, Kyle Busch Motorsports, is suing Justin Boston, one of its former drivers, and his sponsor, Zloop, claiming they failed to make $650,000 in payments to the race team. The suit was filed in Iredell County, N.C., in North Carolina Superior Court.
Boston and Zloop, a company founded by Boston’s father, Bob Boston, had a $3.2 million yearly deal with KBM to put Boston in one of the team’s trucks for Truck Series competition, as stated by suit documents, according to a report on ESPN.com. According to the report, the contract between KBM and Boston and Zloop was a $6.4 million deal for two years, 23 races per year. Boston and Zloop made their first five payments on time, taking care of $1.55 million of the ammount owed before missing payments in May and June. KBM claims it is owed $4.025 million for Zloop and Boston’s default.
