Kyle Larson to run truck race at Chicagoland

NASCAR Xfinity and Camping World Truck series team JR Motorsports announced on Monday that NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Larson will drive the team’s No. 00 Chevrolet entry in Friday’s Truck Series race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. The Chicagoland race is a companion event to the Sprint Cup Series and Xfinity Series races at the same track that weekend.

“Chicago is one of my favorite race tracks and the trucks are fun, close racing,” Larson said. “I’ve been close to winning a few truck races, but I’ve only won one. JRM’s truck program has been really fast this year. They’ve won some races, and they’re competitive every race, and I’m looking forward to having a good shot of winning for them.”
