Mason Mingus plans to make his second-career NASCAR Xfinity Series start Saturday by running the Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. He’s plans to climb into the No. 97 Chevrolet of Obaika Racing for the second time this year. He made his Xfinity Series debut in Sept. at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., also driving the No. 97 for the first-year Xfinity Series team in that race.
“I’m really gratefull to have another chance to drive the VroomBrands Chevy Camaro, Mingus said. “I was pretty happy with my first race with Obaika Racing in Chicago, getting a top-25 finish in my first time in an Xfinity car. I learned a ton, and I enjoyed working with the guys on the team. I’m excited to get to work with them again and try to top our performance from last time.”
Mingus finished 24th after starting 32nd in the Xfinity race at Chicagoland.
