Matt Crafton gets NASCAR Truck win at Charlotte
The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., was delayed from Friday night to Saturday afternoon because of rain at the race track all day and through the night Friday, but when the race finally did take the green flag, Matt Crafton picked up where he left off the previous race weekend at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. At Charlotte, Crafton added to his Dover win, with a second-straight win and his second win, overall, at this point in the season. In doing so, he became the first Truck Series championship-eligible driver of the season to have multiple wins.
“The crazy part about it — we didn’t make a whole lot of changes,” Crafton said. “They made all the changes last night. Two nights ago Junior Joyner (crew chief) and I went to dinner and sat until 11:00 and thought of a ton of things. We had a list of about 20 or so things, and I think he changed 15 or more things. We got about halfway through the changes yesterday that he was telling me that he did and I was like, ‘I’m good. I don’t need to know anything else you did to it.’”
