Matt Crafton wins wreck-shortened truck race at Kentucky

An incident that sent Ben Kennedy up onto the SAFER barrier and into the catch fence with five laps remaining in the 150-lap UNOH 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta on Thursday night ended the race five laps early for catch fence repair, but it was one lap after Matt Crafton took the lead from Erik Jones. As a result, Crafton was declared the race winner, claiming his fourth win of the 2015 Truck Series season and expanding his championship points lead to 20 points over Tyler Reddick.

“It’s awesome Crafton said. “Last two years, we’ve been horrendous at this place.”

The win was Crafton’s fourth of the season.

After leading a race-high 55 laps, Jones finished second. It was Jones’ fifth race in the last seven leading the most laps. Crafton led 43 laps.
