NASCAR crewman Kelly Johnson has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for a second time for violation of the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy. Johnson most recently was a jackman for Tommy Baldwin Racing in the Sprint Cup Series.
Johnson first was suspended in November 2014, and after completion of NASCAR’s Road to Recovery program, was reinstated the following January.
Both suspensions fall under sections 12.1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the NASCAR rule book.
