NASCAR issued fines to three crew chiefs, coming out of the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader weekend at Richmond (Va.) Raceway that culminated in Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 Cup Series race.

Two Cup Series crew chiefs each were fined for loose or missing lug nuts after Saturday night’s Richmond — Tony Gibson, crew chief on the No. 41 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford team of Kurt Busch, and Chris Gayle, crew chief on the No. 77 Furniture Row Racing Toyota team of Erik Jones.

Matthew Beckman, crew chief on the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team of Matt Tifft in the Xfinity Series, was the only Xfinity crew chief penalized after Richmond. He was fined $5,000, because the No. 19 had a lug nut missing or loose after that series’ race at Richmond on Friday night.
