For driver introductions at Bristol (Ten.) Motor Speedway, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers normally pick the songs to which they’re being introduced, but that won’t be the case ahead of the 2018 Food City 500 at the East Tennessee short track, scheduled for April 15. Instead, fans will make the choices.

“Our fans are the best in the world, so it just makes sense to have them play an integral part in NASCAR’s most popular driver introductions,” said Bristol Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Jerry Caldwell said. “There’s nothing like seeing these warriors enter The Last Great Colosseum as they prepare for battle and it will be great to see them come out to a song of the fan’s choice.”

Fans have until March 30 to vote on drivers’ intro songs at Three choices will be given for each driver.

Drivers still will introduce themselves as their songs are played.

The Food City 500 weekend at BMS will be a NASCAR tripleheader weekend, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East racing there April 14. Tickets are still available and may be purchased at or by calling 423-BRISTOL
