NASCAR Cup: Jimmie Johnson loses car chief at Las Vegas

Two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series were ejected from Las Vegas Motor Speedway ahead of Sunday’s Pennzoil 400.

Jesse Saunders, car chief on the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports team of Jimmie Johnson, and Lee Leslie, car chief on the No. 15 Premium Motorsports team of Ross Chastain, were ejected from the LVMS garage Sunday, because their cars failed pre-race inspection three times.

Johnson and Chastain also will start the Pennzoil 400 in the bask as a result of their inspection issues.
