Landon Cassill is slated to drive the No. 00 StarCom Racing Chevrolet in the next two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on March 25 and Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth on April 8. He replaces Jeffrey Earnhardt, who parted ways with the team after Sunday’s Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

“We are excited to announce we will head to @MartinsvilleSwy and @TXMotorSpeedway with @LandonCassill piloting the @usfraorg #SCR00 @TeamChevy Camaro!” StarCom Racing (@StarComRacing) tweeted Monday.

Cassill drove the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford in 2017 but lost that ride at the end of the season in favor of Michael McDowell. He has 259-career Cup Series starts between 2010 and 2017. His first start behind the wheel of the No. 00 at Martinsville will be his first Cup Series start of 2018.

Earnhardt drove the No. 00 in the first five races of the season, posting a best of 21st in the season-opening Daytona 500 in February. It’s his only top-30 finish of the season, so far.
