NASCAR Cup: NBC exec talks midweek racing

By AMANDA VINCENT
According to a recent report from Sports Business Journal, NASCAR is contemplating the idea of midweek premier series races, and quoted Jon Miller of NBC Sports.
“We’re having conversations with them (NASCAR) about possible midweek races,” Miller said. “We like the idea of road racing and think it’s pretty exciting, so we’re working with them on those fronts. That’s what’s great about dealing with NASCAR. We can sit in a room, throw out some ideas and have them take them back and consider that inside their walls.”
In June, the subject of midweek racing was one of many approached during a France interview on FOX Sports 1.
“Don’t see that,” France replied when asked about a midweek race.
Also worth noting — during an interview on SiriusXM Speedway on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Monday, France didn’t seem very enthusiastic about the subject of midweek racing.
