Kevin Harvick’s No. 4 team and Danica Patrick’s No. 10 team at Stewart-Haas Racing are swapping some pit crew members in time for Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway, the final race of the 2016 Sprint Cup regular season.
front tire changer Eric Maycroft and front tire carrier Matt Holzbaur are moving from the No. 10 team to the No. 4. Meanwhile, front tire changer Tim Sheets and front tire carrier Todd Drakulich are moving from the No. 4 to the No. 10 team.
Harvick finished second in the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway on Sept. 4, but not before a rash of pit road issues in the second half of the race that resulted in a total of 17 positions lost on pit road.
Harvick is locked into the Chase for the Sprint Cup, set to begin Sept. 18 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., courtesy of two race wins. Patrick, though, does not have a realistic chance of making this year’s Chase without a surprise win Saturday nightat Richmond.
