NASCAR Cup: three teams docked practice time at ISM Raceway on Friday

By AMANDA VINCENT

NASCAR docked three Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers/teams practice time Friday at ISM Racing near Phoenix during the series’ one practice session of the day ahead of Sunday’s Ticket Guardian 500.

The No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet team of Jimmie Johnson and the No. 15 Premium Motorsports Chevrolet team of Ross Chastain were docked 30 minutes of practice time Friday as a result of failing pre-race inspection at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 4, prior to the Pennzoil 400. The No. 32 Go FAS Racing Ford team of Matt DiBenedetto was docked 15 minutes of practice time at ISM Raceway, because the No. 32 failed pre-race inspection twice at Las Vegas.

The Cup Series has two more practice sessions scheduled for Saturday at 12:05 p.m. ET and 2:30 p.m.
