NASCAR Toyota engine and body part builder Triad Racing Technologies is selling its engine-building assets, according to an announcement Monday from investment firm Gordon Brothers.

“We’re proud of our track record in NASCAR and the success of our clients over the years,” Triad Racing technologies President and CEO Marty Gaunt said. “The sale of our engine facility will allow us to concentrate on our body parts business and continue to support our racing clients going forward.”

TRT is a primary vendor of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in its NASCAR efforts. While TRT will get out of the engine-building business, it will continue to be a vendor of parts to NASCAR teams.

The assets to be sold include “all machinery and equipment associated with its engine building and R&D programs including full CNC capabilities, complete 800+ HP race engines, a large stock of engine parts inventory, and other miscellaneous equipment,” according to a Gordon Brothers press release.

A list of assets for sale on the Gordon Brothers’ website includes an engine shop containing dyno and spintron cells, disassembly area, assembly labs, CNC capabilities, metrology lab and engines.

TRT partnership with TRD has been a part of 10 manufacturer championships, five driver championships and over 100 wins across all NASCAR series.
