Jeffrey Abbey plans to make his second-career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start, his first on asphalt, Saturday in the Texas Roadhouse 200 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway as driver of the No. 45 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet.

“I really enjoyed making my first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start earlier this season at Eldora, and I’m excited to get behind the wheel again,” said Abbey.  “Martinsville definitely has a reputation for being a tough track, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

The race at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, earlier this season, in which he finished 14th after running in the top-10, is Abbey’s only NASCAR national-series start, to date. He also drove the No. 45 for Niece Motorsports in that race.

Abbey’s racing resume includes 225 IMCA Southern Sport Modified races, resulting 62 wins. In 2016, he was the IMCA national points champion. Abbey also holds several track championships and a couple of Texas state championships.
