IMSA sports car racing veteran driver Max Tullman plans to make his debut on NASCAR’s national stage later this season, courtesy of a two-race deal for Camping World Truck Series team, Young’s Motorsports. That deal will put Tullman in the No. 20 Chevrolet for the Aug. 26 race at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, and the Oct. 13 race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

“Just like any other racing series you jump into, it will be an exciting yet challenging change for me,” Tullman said, as quoted in a Motorsport.com article.

Tullman has some NASCAR regional experience via the K&N Pro Series East and West divisions. He made four starts, combined, in the East and West divisions of the K&N Series last year, resulting in three top-10 finishes. He made a K&N Pro Series East start last weekend at Bristol (Ten.) Motor Speedway, resulting in a 15th-place finish.

The two Truck Series races are part of a 2018 schedule for Tullman that includes additional K&N races, along with some ARCA Racing Series events.

Tullman made his ARCA debut earlier this year in that series’ season-opening race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. He finished sixth.
