NASCAR Truck: Myatt Snider ready for series debut at Phoenix

Myatt Snider plans to make his NASCAR national-level debut Friday night by driving the No. 22 AM Racing Toyota normally driven by Austin Wayne Self in the Lucas Oil 150 Camping World Truck Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.

“My mom’s family is from the Phoenix area, and every Thanksgiving since I was born, our family would load up and head out to make the annual holiday visit,” Snider said. “So, here it is November, and we’re going back out there again, but it’s for a different reason. It’s because we’re headed to PIR for the opportunity to race in the Camping World Truck Series for the very first time.”

Snider competed in nine ARCA Racing Series races this season, claiming a wain in his series debut at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway. He also posted three top-fives and five top-10 finishes in those nine starts.

Snider also ran three CARS Late Model Stock Tour races this season, finishing in the top-five all three times. In all, the has 13-career starts in the series, all top-10 finishes. He has eight-career CARS top-five finishes.

“We hope to see a lot of family and friends while we’re out there, but they’re all going to have to come out to the race track to see me, because I’ll be really busy,” Snider said. “Getting the opportunity to move up into the ‘big three’ top divisions of NASCAR racing has always been my long-term goal, and I don’t have to tell you how excited I am.
