NASCAR Truck: schedule, weather outlook for Bristol Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series gets NASCAR national-level night racing at Bristol (Ten.) Motor Speedway started early with a rare Wednesday night race — the UNOH 200.

The other two national series — the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup and Xfinity series — also race at BMS this weekend, with the Xfinity Series running Friday night and the Cup Series on Saturday night.

The Truck Series isn’t along at Bristol on Wednesday, though. the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will race at the track prior to the Truck Series, taking to the track at approximately 6 p.m. ET. Then, the UNOH 200 will take the green flag shortly after 8:30 p.m. The 200-lap UNOH 200 will be divided into two 55-lap stages, followed by a 90-lap third and final stage.

Here’s a look at the Truck Series schedule of on-track activity at Bristol Motor Speedway (courtesy of NASCAR.com):

9 a.m. — practice (FS1)
11 a.m. — final practice (FS1)
4:45 p.m. — qualifying (FS2)
8:30 p.m. — race (FS1)

There’s a significant chance of precipitation toying with the racing schedule at Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday, as there’s a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening. Meanwhile, daytime hours are expect4ed to be hot. The high temperature for the day is predicted to reach 85 degrees, but a heat index over 100 degrees inspected. A low of 69 degrees is expected for Wednesday night.
