NASCAR Truck: Vinnie Miller makes series debut at Talladega

Vinnie Miller plans to make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut Saturday at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway as driver of the No. 66 Bolen Motorsports Chevrolet in the Fred’s 250.

“I am really excited about the opportunity that Bolen Motorsports has given me to drive for them at Talladega this weekend,” Miller said. “To prepare, I have been watching video of past races.  I know I have a huge learning curve being in a truck and on a superspeedway. Hopefully, we will learn a lot and get a solid finish for Bolen Motorsports.”

Saturday’s race will be Miller’s second NASCAR national-leve debut of the year, as he made his Xfinity Series debut last month at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., courtesy of JD Motorsports. He finished 29th.

Miller has made six starts each in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and the ARCA Racing Series this year, his first season in both series. He has a top-five and two top-10s, so far, in K&N East competition — a fourth and sixth, both at South Boston (Va.) Speedway. Four of his six ARCA starts, to date, resulted in top-10s, including a best of six at Iowa Speedway in Newton.

Saturday’s Truck Series race also will be Miller’s debut in any series at Talladega.
