Jennifer Joe Cobb plans to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturday in her home state of Kansas, piloting the No. 78 B.J. McLeod Motorsports Chevrolet in the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway near Kansas City. It’ll be her the first series start of the year for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series regular.

“I say this every year – there’s no place like home, and I’m excited to once again be competing at my home track,” Cobb said. “In addition to racing, our week has several great purposes; we will be honoring a female military member through our Driven2Honor program, and I have the pleasure to participate in an event on behalf of my sponsors to promote breast cancer awareness month.”

Cobb races nearly full-time in the Truck series in a truck she owns, running 14 of the 19 races, so far, this year. The Camping World Truck Series has the weekend off.

Cobb has 29-career starts in the Xfinity Series with a best finish of 22nd at Kansas Speedway in 2012. Most of her Xfinity Series starts came in 2011 when she raced in the series 18 times. She has raced once yearly in the series since 2013, running at her home track.

Cobb has 146-career starts in the Truck Series, with a best finish of sixth coming in 2011 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
