NASCAR Xfinity: Jordan Anderson joins Precision Performance Motorsports for Homestead
By AMANDA VINCENT
Jordan Anderson has joined Precision Performance Motorsports to compete in the Ford EcoBoost 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series season-finale Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He’ll be behind the wheel of the No. 46 PPM Chevrolet.
“My 2016 racing season has been an amazing journey thus far,” Anderson said. “I’ve been very fortunate to have the support of so many people in my constant strive to be on the race track every weekend and represent my fans and hometown of Columbia, S.C., in the best way possible. I love our sport, and each chance that I get to be a part of it is an incredible honor. The opportunity to race for the Gdovic family and everyone at Precision Performance Motorsports in the Xfinity Series seasone-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway is nothing short of a blessing to be able to end this year on a high note and build momentum looking forward to 2017.”
The Homestead race will be Anderson’s sixth-career Xfinity Series start, the fifth of 2016. His previous four 2016 starts came in an Obaika Racing entry, and his best finish in those races was a 29th-place showing at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill.
Most of Anderson’s NASCAR national-level experience has come in the Camping World Truck Series. He has 36-career starts in the Truck Series, running 17 races, so far, this year and 17 a year ago, following a 2014 season in which he drove a truck in two races.
“The whole Precision Performance Motorsports team and I are excited to have Jordan race for us in the last race of the season,” PPM General Manager Brandon Gdovic said. “We believe Jordan will be a great asset to our team and we’re happy to have someone as well-respected as him join our team.”
