New developmental team hires Brandon Jones for NASCAR Truck, ARCA races

MDM-Hillman Racing has partnered with Lorin Ranier to form Ranier Racing with MDM, a developmental team that plans to field entries in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and ARCA Racing Series in 2016. Driver Brandon Jones has signed on to drive for the team in select Truck Series and ARCA races. Jones’ regular racing gig is full-time driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving an entry in that series for Richard Childress Racing. Mike Hillman Jr., Jones’ crew chief in the Xfinity Series, also will serve as his crew chief when he drives for Ranier Racing with MDM.

“Adding Brandon Jones to the Ranier Racing with MDM team is an exciting step toward meeting our goal of becoming the premier driver development team in stock car racing,” Ranier said. “Jones’ record last year in the ARCA Racing Series and in the Camping World Truck Series shows he is one of the rising talents in our sport. We are expecting big things from him this year at RRMDM.”
