Phoenix International Raceway’s name will change to ISM Raceway in 2018 to reflect the purchase of the track’s naming right’s sponsorship by Ingenuity Sun Media. The change will mark the first sale of naming rights at PIR.

The deal between the one-mile track in Avondale, Ariz., and ISM is a 10-year deal that calls for ISM to pay a single-figure million-dollar fee each year and foot the bill for digital technology-related facility improvements that include display screens, interactive fan experiences and social media integrations throughout the PIR-turned-ISM property.

“We’re focused on building a world-class facility and the partnership with ISM will further enhance our technology capabilities and create opportunities to better engage with fans,” track President Bryan R. Sperber said. “ISM Raceway will serve as a premier motorsports and entertainment destination for generations to come.”

The facility is undergoing additional, previously announced, improvements that include 45,000 new grandstand seats, a new pedestrian tunnel to connect the infield to the new seating, new hospitality suites and a new fan zone.

ISM was the title sponsor of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, the ISM 300, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sept. 24.
