Ray Black Jr., SS Green Light go Xfinity racing

Driver Ray Black Jr. and SS Green Light Racing have plans to go NASCAR Xfinity Series racing in 2016. Both driver and team are making the move from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for their first full-time seasons in the Xfinity Series. Black and SS Green Light did make one Xfinity Series start last year at Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth through a deal between SS Green Light and Ware Racing. It was Black’s first-career start in the series. He finished 27th after starting the race in the 22nd position.

“We ran one Xfinity race with Ray last year, and it went much better than everyone expected,” SS Green Light Racing owner Bobby Dotter said. “Ray really took the to feeling of the car. Our goal was always to be in the Xfinity Series with Ray; we’ve just sped up that timeline a little bit. Ray is ready for the step up, and the team is ready to grow with him next year.”
