Route set for Kyle Petty Charity Ride


An itinerary has been set for the 22nd annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America motorcycle jaunt that raises money for the Petty family’s Victory Junction Gang camp for seriously ill children.

The biggest chunk of this year’s week-long charity ride will take place in the Lone Star State. Riders will hit the road in Palm Springs, Calif., on April 30 and wind down May 6 in Biloxi, Miss.

Here’s a look at the daily schedule:

April 30 — Palm Springs to Phoenix
May 1 — Phoenix to El Paso, Tex.
May 2 — El Paso to Lajitas, Tex.
May 3 — Lajitas to San Antonio
May 4 — San Antonio
May 5 — San Antonio to Beaumont
May 6 — Beaumont to Biloxi

A full list of the NASCAR personalities participating in the 2016 ride is not yet available, but confirmations for this year include Petty, NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty, Hall nominee Hershel McGriff and other NASCAR legends including Harry Gant and Donnie Allison.
