Ryan Ellis plans Sprint Cup debut at Phoenix

By AMANDA VINCENT

Ryan Ellis plans to make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut in the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at Phoenix International Raceway Nov. 15. He’ll drive the No. 33 Circle Sport Chevrolet with sponsorship from ScienceLogic.

“Racing is one of the biggest things in my life, and I can’t thank ScienceLogic, Mike Hillman, Joe Falk, and everyone at Circle Sport enough for this opportunity,” Ellis said. “I look at this as my whole team – everyone that has ever helped me, making it to the next level.”

Since making a transition from sports car racing, Ellis has made a handful of starts in NASCAR’s other two national series — the Xfinity and Camping World Truck series. Between 2014 and 205, Ellis has 20 starts in the Truck Series. He has 29-career starts in the Xfinity Series, going back to 2012. So far in 2015, Ellis has competed in 10 Xfinity races and 11 Truck Series races.
