Ryan Preece joins JD Motorsports for Xfinity Series competition

Modified racing star Ryan Preece plans to go NASCAR Xfinity Series racing in 2016, courtesy of a full-time gig with longtime Xfinity Series team JD Motorsports. On Tuesday, the race team announced plans on Tuesday for a three-car effort for 2016 Xfinity competition, including putting Preece in its No. 01 Chevrolet. Landon Cassill drove the No. 01 last season.

“Everything is lining up well,” JD Motorsports owner Johnny Davis said. “We expect to have three strong teams when we get things started next month in Daytona. We should be astronomically better than last year. We’re better prepared, and we have more resources.”
