Ryan Reed gets first ARCA win

(JOLIET, Ill. June 20, 2015) Ryan Reed became the sixth consecutive first-time winner in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Saturday, winning the SCOTT 150 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Reed, a full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, started in the back and climbed his way to the lead and finished 6.2 seconds ahead of Grant Enfinger for his first career ARCA win. Will Kimmel finished third, Matt Tifft fourth and Frank Kimmel fifth.

Reed also became the first Lira Motorsports driver to reach victory lane in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

“My job was easy in this thing from the moment I hoped in it,” Reed said. “We just kind of cruised.”

Grant Enfinger opened the ARCA season with three consecutive wins, then Ken Schrader won the fourth race of the season. Since then, six straight first-time ARCA winners have visited victory lane Blake Jones, Todd Gilliland, Kyle Weatherman, Trevor Bayne, Ross Kenseth and now Reed.
