Sprint Fan Vote for All-Star Race now open

By AMANDA VINCENT

The Sprint Fan Vote to select the final starter of the NASCAAR Sprint All-Star Race is open and will continue until 7 p.m. ET May 20. The race is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET May 21 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Drivers who won race(s) in 2015 or prior to the All-Star Race this year will earn spots in the All-Star Race by virtue of those race wins. Other drivers will compete in the Sprint Showdown on May 20, also at Charlotte, and the top-two finishers in that race will be awarded All-Star Race starting spots. The Fan Vote winner will round out the All-Star starting grid. The Fan Vote winner will be announced after the conclusion of the Sprint Showdown. If the highest-vote getter earns an All-Star Race spot by finishing first or second in the Sprint Showdown, the Fan Vote spot will go to the next-highest vote-getter.

Votes may be cast online at NASCAR.com/SprintFanVote or via the NASCAR mobile application. Fans may vote once daily before the deadline. Votes shared on Facebook and/or Twitter will count as two votes.

The Sprint All-Star Race will be shown live on FOX Sports 1.
