Truck Series crew chief suspended for Eldora

By AMANDA VINCENT
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series crew chief Adam Brenner on the No. 86 team of driver Brandon Brown has been suspended from NASCAR competition through July 27 and placed on probation through Dec 31, according to the weekly penalty/warning report from NASCAR that was released on Wednesday.
Brenner’s suspension was a result of a lug nut issue at the end of the Buckle Up in Your Truck 225 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta on July 7. According to the NASCAR report, the No. 86 truck did not have all its lug nuts properly installed, a rules infraction discovered post-race. NASCAR rules require that trucks have five lug nuts properly installed and tightened on all four wheels.
The suspension will sideline Brenner for Wednesday’s dirt race at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
The infraction is classified as being at the P3 level on NASCAR’s penalty scale. In its announcement, the sanctioning body cited violations of sections 12.1 and 10.22.3.4 of the 2016 NASCAR rule book.
