Two Sprint Cup teams warned after Southern 500

By AMANDA VINCENT

NASCAR announced Wednesday that the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team of Denny Hamlin and the No. 62 Premium Motorsports Chevrolet team of Timmy Hill were issued warnings following the Sept. 6 Bojangles’ Southern 500 race weekend at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway.

Both teams were warned for inspection issues. The No. 11 team failed pre-race inspection four times before finally getting through the inspection process. The No. 62 team, meanwhile, failed pre-qualifying inspection twice at Darlington.
