Where they stand: Truck Series points after Martinsville

After finishing second to Kyle Busch in Saturday’s Alpha Energy Solutions 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, John Hunter Nemechek took the lead from Parker Kligerman in the Truck Series driver points standings. Also, with his win of the previous race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Nemechek is virtually locked into the Truck Series’ post-season Chase, joining Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway victor, Johnny Sauter.

Former series points leader, Parker Kligerman, dropped to second in the standings after finishing eighth at Martinsville. Kligerman is three points behind Nemechek after three races. Timothy Peters in third in the standings, six points out of the lead.
